Hey guys,
My name is Andrew Schlafley, and I’m the founder of Conservapedia, an online encyclopedia with an Americentric Christian conservative bias!
What’s that, you say ‘What’s the point of having a biased, probably inaccurate encylopedia?’
Well, how the heck am I supposed to know that? Critical thinking is for atheists and Jews!

Deleuze and Guattari

pdfs ‘n shit eh.

This is a time to roar back and assert and celebrate the beauty of the printed page. Give people something to fight for, and they will fight for it. Give something to pay for, and they’ll pay for it.

Name that band.

Jazz for midnight:

Miles Davis - So What

(via 12000boxes, pafurada, llllegal, crashinglybeautiful & uncertaintimes)

Miles Davis - All Blues

Ok, Kind of Blue is ubiquitous, coffee-shop, entry-level jazz- right up there with Brubeck’s Time Out! and maybe Trane’s A Love Supreme for those who wanted to stretch out and get freaky - but a masterpiece is a masterpiece.

It was entry-level for me back when I did the “3 CDs for $30” deal at HMV when I was 18 and wanted to get into this jazz stuff, and damn if it isn’t an amazing album. Still.

I could write a few paragraphs about this track and the significance of improvisation, the use of space in lieu of having to fill every second up with sound, and the value of laying back or how one well-placed snare hit or rim shot does the job. Jazz scholars and critics have written a few kilometers of text on this, so, yeah. Not gonna bother.

Let’s listen; smoke ‘em if you got ‘em.

Bill Fay - Laughing Man
Time Of The Last Persecution (1971)

Last minute change of plans, or track more precisely. I was going to post the super downer acoustic ‘Don’t Let My Marigolds Die’, but I ended up listening to the entire album again and wanting to post almost every track. Unfortunately for you, you only get one, but this track is totally awesome. The arrangements are perfectly 70s, piano, fuzz guitar, melancholy horns.
