“Tabernacle records was a gospel affiliate of Sir Coxsone’s Studio 1. Not many albums were released under Tabernacle, only about 10 LPs and a number of singles, making them rarities these days. Often the artists appearing on the Tabernacle label were strictly gospel singers, but Coxsone also culled in a few big names such as Ken Boothe or Larry Marshall.
The disk is from 1966 and I can’t track down much about the two artists here. I can’t find anything about Brother Ernest or Freddie, but one website I stumbled on suggests that Claris Brown is a pastor at the Church of God of Prophecy in St Catherine, Jamaica - may or may not be the same Claris Brown though.
