Nara, New Year’s Eve.
In Nara park, there are hundreds of sacred deer that roam around and will bow for treats. You hold up the shika-senbei (basically a round, mealy wafer which I recommend you don’t try. Tastes gross) before you feed it to them, they do a little bow, and then nomnomnom.
Oh you know, just chillin’, goin for a leisurely family stroll thru Nara. No big deal.
